Cost Of Living (Rouhg Draft)

Advertisements, Everywhere Hawaii is viewed as “Perfect” and “The ideal Vacation spot” But Did they tell you we have imperfections? For years Prices have been going up and we aren’t questioning it. The questions float through our head. Why?, Where is it going to?, and What are we using the extra money for?But we don’t ask. Hawaii has many flaws, Cost of living being one, with the cost of gas,electricity and hosing we can barely afford other expenses. 

Money is a powerful Thing, It in control. We never buy something without the thought of wether its worth it or if we need it. I have never went somewhere without paying for something.  When you see a buy 1 get 1 free sign thats not really free. You are paying for something that is usually overpriced anyway. The profit is just used to pay for the second thing that is claimed as “free”. Feeling stressed about you income or how much you are paying on taxes, electricity, and your car bill, thats normal. Personally, This is ridiculous i wish life didn’t revolve around money. Stressing is so common, we wanna have money but we spend it and if we don’t have money we are a nobody. Money controls everything we do and we let it.

Ever wondered where most of your money goes? The 2 highest expenses are rent and gas.   It is sad we have to pay so much for rent, We need a house yet they make us pay so m much for them. Without a house we wouldn’t be healthy. We could very likely die. Gas is through the roof cost. But without it we wouldn’t be able to travel far. The thought of gas prices and knowing i will be driving soon makes me worry. Electricity and groceries are very high as well. Milk is priced at an average of $3.41 and ground beef is at $3.99. That is Much more than on the mainland. It dos cost more to import it but not that much more. They Make their profit levels tremendously high. Electricity is on average $333.51. We have so much solar where do the discounts take place. Shockingly It doesn’t change the price as much as you might think. After paying for all of those needs we don’t have much left for things we want.

The prices have gone up since the late 1980’s by sky rocketing amounts. electricity has gone up 4x more, gas 3x more and housing 2x more. This is insane and outrageous. We shouldn’t have to pay so much for things necessary to live. The prices are going up because of the Hawaii Government an the USA Government. They want more profit and need money to up our Government ratings. The USA Government is raising our import taxes. This is not fair because if they want more money they should make it other ways not messing with our cost of living. We are #1 in the nation and they still wanna raise the everyday costs. With the cost raising so should benifits. 

Seeing the imperfections may help you see we aren’t the “perfect” Or ideal vacation spot” You saw us as. With the cost of living, affording expenses other than gas, electricity and housing is difficult. Honestly I feel bad for the people that are forced to live here that dont enough money to leave. It so expensive most people cant even leave to visit family. Money controls us, WE cant over look that.
